Ripple Effect Counseling

Many of us have heard of the Butterfly Effect. The flap of a single butterfly, a seemingly insignificant occurrence, can create great change. In this view, life can seem a bit deterministic, as if aspects of life are predetermined and set in-motion.

I offer to you the Ripple Effect, as an antidote. We may not have control over many of the events in our lives, though we do have control over the energy we exert in our life journey. The effort you put into yourself and your life acts as a drop of water in the pond of life. Your ripple impact changes your trajectory in life, despite painful experiences you have endured. Further, the changes you make to better your well-being impact those around you and so on. You can gain back control.

I support people working through difficult life themes which impact their present self. Together, we can identify sources of pain that have left you feeling unbalanced, anxious, depressed, or downright hopeless. Let’s work towards living a fulfilling life.

There are various forms of treatments and remedies for just about every physical symptom or concern. There is great value in medication, supplements, and lifestyle adjustments, though sometimes we forget to treat the essence at the core of it all- our mind. Sometimes we are doing everything our providers and loved ones have advised us to do, but we still feel off. Sometimes we cannot follow through with the suggestions of others, no matter how much we wish we could. This does not mean we are inferior or incapable of living a healthier life. It may simply mean we are not focusing on our mental wellness, too.  I work with people who are already working with other providers for mental health or substance use, as well as individuals who are just starting out on their mental wellness journey.
